The Civil War didn't just divide the Avengers, it fractured the fragile bond that Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff spent years building. Torn apart by a conflict neither of them started, they find themselves carrying the weight of bitter resentment, harsh truths, and words that cut too deep. Not even the warmth of the Bartons' home can thaw the frost that's begun to settle between them. On the run, tired and broken, the remnants of what once was litter the floor, forming a fragile foundation for what could be. Is the promise of a future enough? Slowly, reverently, Steve and Natasha try to piece together the jigsaw of them with trust and a fragile thread of hope. But the price of being fugitives shatters their faith time and time again. Can they rebuild their relationship from the debris of war, or will the cost of survival destroy their chance at something real? (This story covers a little bit of CA:TCW and IW but primarily focuses on the time between these!) NONE OF THESE CHARACTERS ARE MINE- ALL BELONG TO STAN LEE AND MARVEL I'll try to upload once a week but will give y'all the first few to begin with ;)

Mixing business and pleasure is never a good idea. (Y/n) is hard-working, career-driven, and professional. Two months into her new job she meets someone who makes her push and break all of her carefully crafted rules and boundaries. Steve is also serious, always doing what is expected of him, but his work and his history have left him standoffish, and emotionally reticent. The two struggle to fight their growing feelings as they are continually forced to decide between duty and love. Will they ever be able to meet in the middle, or will haunted memories and scars of the past cost them their chance at happiness? *I don't own or take credit in any way for any of the marvel characters, these are just my personal adaptations to the story, while (Y/n) is all my own. Hope you all enjoy!*
