"We fear the unknown because we fear the dark. We fear the dark because we're biologically programmed to do so." This was a quote that Janet kept reminding herself of while trapped in the haunted house. In the town of Alcatraz, Blakeslee, there was a house that everyone suspected was haunted. It was a very old, abandoned house at the end of the street in the oldest part of the town. There were many stories behind this house, but no one cared to find out except Janet who wanted to know what really happened.
Thirty- five year old Janet Grant just got married to her husband, Brandon Grant and started a family. She has a daughter Nicole and a curious son Joshua. Janet and Brandon wanted a nice place out of the city and there was a very nice and convenient house in Alcatraz which was available; The Haunted House. Two months later, Janet and her family moved into the house a few days after purchasing it.
One Monday, while going to bed Janet realized that the bathroom light that she had just turned off had suddenly turned back on. She was puzzled. She started wondering if the stories that the old persons next door that told her was really true. That night she went to her bed thinking this.
The next morning she told Brandon about the bizarre incident. He was confused. He asked her if she wanted to move back to the city, she replied no. Brandon had taken the kids to school and she was all alone. While in the kitchen she heard a clattering sound coming from the attic. At this moment Janet got curious and went to the attic to see what was making the sound. For a moment there, Janet was shocked, she saw things moving on the as if someone had lost something but to her surprise there was no one there.
