A postmodern satire for the fans of Chuck Palahniuk, Kurt Vonnegut and Thomas Pynchon.

In a kiddie art exhibit two masterpiece works of art are created in the span of forty-five minutes; one by Timmy O' Donnell, a 10 year old sociopath and one by Tabby Masterson, a 62 year old Midwestern widow, forever changing the lives of the artists and witnesses.

The source of their inspiration is soon revealed to be a drinking fountain on the third floor of a Museum of Contemporary Art, which grants the ability to create one artistic masterpiece. Fame and fortune await...

But shortly thereafter you just might die.

It's your life versus your legacy. How bad do you want either?

A story that stretched from Chicago to Mars…

"FOUNTAIN thing moves like a thriller. Darkly funny... a howling success!" - Pinckney Benedict, MIRACLE BOY AND OTHER STORIES

"Smart, inventive, and accomplished." - Naeem Murr, THE PERFECT MAN

"David Scott Hay has done a something incredible - an artful book about an arty subject that doesn't drop into pretension. 'FOUNTAIN' is an affecting story about tough, interesting people who hold beauty up like Achilles' shield against a very real, very bitter, and oddly funny world. A must for fans of sharp tongues and sharp writing." - Darren Callahan, THE WHITE AIRPLANE & HORROR ACADEMY: TWO PLAYS

"you're no one to me", his words echoed in my ears but what was it all when he kissed me; merely an illusion? It felt so real and lively. "...and just so you know, you're not allowed to leave this job until or before 6 months", he flung the contract papers in the air. I had signed the papers, the terms and conditions clearly meant that I was supposed to work for his company and had no right to leave it until his consent. "Leave my cabin for now", he ordered as he turned behind. ********** Amanda Waters is your typical College student who happens to face a lot of financial difficulties and as a result, is made to earn a living. She's blunt, She's sensitive but she is also accompanied by two of her best friends in this story: Gina Sullivan and Francis Rutherfold. The enterprise which she works in is different, very different. In fact, the 'CEO' is not just another Happy go lucky male lead of the company. Aaron Reynolds- Rude, Arrogant, Harsh, and Stubborn. He's what they call an eccedentesiast. They say that a person who defines negative adjectives has a lot more inside them, the darkness in that person may overrule all the Positiveness. Well, with Aaron, it's hard to say. But...What if Amanda already had a face-off with 'The CEO' before working in his firm? What if she had already drawn a thick line of hate? What if egos of the same level collide? What then? True Love? More like an illusion! An illusion that poses a life threat. An illusion with the ability to make you believe in non-existent things such as; fairies, demons, fate, and even destiny! Ironic is it not? What we as humans happen to rely on.

𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐧 | ❝SHE MADE THE MOON LOOK DULL, SHE KEPT THE SKY LIT EACH NIGHT.❞ 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ Cassiopeia Wylie doesn't know much about horror or anything scary really, she chooses to ignore it. Of course she has fears of her own, but most of the time she acts as if it's nonexistent. Cassiopeia revolves her life around keeping this picture perfect image of herself, the girl with perfect grades, perfect hair, and the perfect life. That's what's always been expected of her, which is why, since the fourth grade, she felt infatuated by Richie Tozier. He's everything she's told not to be, and isn't. It made her wonder how he could do it all so easily, up to the way he speaks, and down to the way he acts. Which is odd to her, because she felt she needs to despise him. But instead, she spent her days in class sneaking glances at him, and getting any chance to talk to him no matter how nervous she gets. Cassiopeia tries her very hardest to hide her crush from the glasses eyed boy. That isn't the case for Richie, though his crush on the girl only started in the sixth grade, he flirts with her at any chance he's get's. Which isn't much, due to their completely separate lives. Up until something dark, a shape shifter, comes upon to the town of Derry cursing the children who once had no care in the world. 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ (extended summary inside) (strong language) (it 2017) (started: 10/28/17) (ended: 6/5/2020)
