The life of an asthma patient!
She had everything planned, and rehearsed her speech a hundred times....but most times, stage fright overwhelms us all, and stage fright for her is different, she doesn't just go mute, sweat rolling down her face.....she becomes scared, anxious, panic claws at her chest, her head begins to spin, her breath fails her too.
Writing was her only strength, a place she could go to whenever the world didn't understand her, a place that didn't brand her 'weak.' It gave her strength, when hers was slowly diminishing, it gave her the courage to live when she felt the struggle to live wasn't worth it, it saved her when nothing else could, that was her only hope against the fading light....

WHEN THE RAIN FORGOT TO FALL
I wrote this because I needed to survive it. Because there are some feelings too big for silence. Some heartbreaks too heavy to carry alone. This isn't fiction. This is my heart, broken open and rearranged into verse. "I saw you standing where the sidewalk curves, and suddenly my chest knew different words." - That's how it started. A glance. A stranger. A feeling I couldn't ignore. "You said we needed to talk. Those five words, I knew. I already knew." - And that's how it ended. Not with fire. With silence. I won't tell you that time heals all wounds. I won't say everything happens for a reason. I won't pretend heartbreak makes you stronger. But I will show you that: You can survive what you think will destroy you. You can break and still become beautiful. You can love someone and lose them and still be whole. You can be your own happy ending. I wrote these poems with tears on my face. I wrote them on good days when I forgot to hurt. Every word is something I actually felt. Every line is a moment I actually lived. "You are not broken. You are breaking open. And that's where the light gets in." - That's what this taught me. The Good Nightmare
The once familiar world turned into a dark tunnel of mystery the day Kate heard the words "Kill her!" she shouted. "Yes...!!!" Yes...!!! Yes...!!!!!!!!! Well played!' Kate's eyes widened, and her skin turned pale; fright was written all over her face. She ran out, slamming the door. Uncovering the truth to her eight years of suffering, Kate has gone insane. Reminded of her trauma, she ran fast; her pace increased, and she ran and ran... to the near park until she was out of breath. Luckily the park is abandoned, so there wasn't anyone else besides Kate. "The cause of the traumatic experience is one's selfish desire... no... obsession!!" Kate sat at a corner on a bench, catching up her breath and trembling. She was sweating all over. She wouldn't stop shivering. The truth of that incident: her family tried to kill her? Why?!! Back then, eight years ago, that incident changed her life; the truth is harsher and fiercer.

Hate to Love me
She had been alone with me before but the air in the car was excruciatingly lovely. It felt like home. It was as if she was my wife and I was just driving us home after a long day. At the same time, it felt like I couldn't breathe. For fucks sake, my chest was sweating, but I loved it. I glanced at her as she was leaning her head on the window, her dark ponytail sprawled over her chest. She looked so daunting and elegant it made my heart clench. Sometimes, when I looked really hard and noticed everything I didn't get the chance to in all of the nine years I've known her before she disappeared, it made me feel like a high school boy again. That feeling of happiness when I was with her. Or even just the thought of her. Fuck. I grabbed a cigarette from out of one the cup holders and lit it up, trying to distract myself from her. I inhaled, but when I turned to look at Selene she was covering her nose with her shirt. I furrowed my brows and scowled. Did I smell? "What's wrong?" I softly asked. She glanced at me and shook her head gently, dismissing me. I clenched my jaw. When I pulled my hand up to inhale another smoke, it finally clicked. I quickly threw it out the window and turned the AC on, rolling our windows up. I felt her stare on the side of my face and gulped, trying my fucking best not to smile. "Why did you do that?" She asked me, her voice low. Almost sounding like she was whispering. I quickly shot her a glance before answering. "You have asthma." Her gaze darkened. It was so quiet I could hear her heart beating rapidly while we stared at each other. I couldn't help but want to reach up and kiss her, and hold her like she deserved. She swallowed her saliva and looked away, a smile starting to form on the corners of her lips. I chuckled, already knowing I couldn't escape her now. I wouldn't be able to. It'd be like not having oxygen. And so help me, God, if I didn't have my oxygen.
