"You shouldn't assume things," Jimmy replied, glancing over at Lydia, who was rolling around in the grass in all her pale long-limbed glory. "She's the strongest person I know."
Matt looked back at her, to find her sitting up, a cigarette hanging between her fingers as she chewed on her thumb, staring straight at him with narrowed eyes, as if assessing him.
Then she stood up and strolled over to them, a wry smile on her almost-red lips. "I don't believe we have met. I'm Lydia. Lydia Wilk."
His smirk matched hers and he shook her outstretched hand. "Matt. Matt Sanders."

Tears welled up in his eyes as he removed his jacket, his hands were shaking as he placed his jacket over Dale's stomach causing Dale to gurgle. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, old man.. help!" Dale's hand touched his arm, and Riven looked at him as tears slid down his face, blurring his vision, but Riven could see Dale reaching for his knife. "No, no, we can.. Hershel can help you." He was trying to convince himself that Dale wasn't dying, but there was no hope for Dale. He was in pain, and he was asking for mercy.
