Julia Broz is a quiet, obedient translator working in the heart of the Nazi administrative offices. But Julia is a lie-her real name is Ava Roth, a Jewish woman hiding in plain sight. Every day is a calculated risk. Every glance could be her last.

Peter Hoffman is an SS officer known for his discipline and cold efficiency. But beneath the surface, his loyalty to the Reich is crumbling. When Julia is assigned to work in his office, he begins to notice her-in ways he shouldn't. She's quiet, too good with languages, and far too thin for someone who claims to live comfortably.

When the truth about her identity explodes into the open, Peter must make a choice: turn her in, or risk everything to protect her.

Bound by secrecy, drawn together by danger, Julia and Peter navigate a forbidden connection that defies everything they were taught to believe. But with the war closing in and suspicion everywhere, how long can love survive in a world that wants it buried?

Occupied France, 1942. In Lyon, a city strangled by shadows and betrayal, German soldier Johann Keller is bound to a cause he no longer believes in. Claire Moreau, a fearless young courier for the resistance, risks her life with every message she carries. When their paths collide one night, Johann makes a choice that changes everything, he spares her life. What begins as an act of mercy sparks a forbidden love, whispered in alleys and hidden from watchful eyes. But as the Gestapo closes in and suspicion grows on both sides, trust becomes more dangerous than treason. In a world where every heartbeat could be their last, Johann and Claire must decide whether love is worth the ultimate price. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Claire pressed herself against Johann, breath uneven, fingers digging into his coat. She tilted her head slightly, feeling his warm breath against her neck, sending a shiver down her spine. "They could be anywhere," she whispered, voice trembling. Johann's hands cupped her face, thumbs tracing her jaw, lingering there like he couldn't let go. "Then we stay... just for now. Here. Together." A nervous smile tugged at her lips. "And you call this a good idea?" "I don't care," he murmured, voice low, rough with need. "I need this. You... I can't wait. Not a second longer." Her pulse throbbed against his chest. "Johann..." He leaned closer, lips brushing hers, teeth grazing her bottom lip, holding her like he feared she might vanish. "Stay with me. Feel this. Every heartbeat, every breath-remember it. Remember us-before the world drags us apart." Her fingers clung to him, nails pressing into his coat. His hands tightened around her waist, holding her impossibly close. For a moment, the war, the fear, the shadows outside-they all vanished, leaving only the heat between them, fragile and burning.

Avaline Baker is a young woman on a camping trip with friends when she decides to go into a museum that will change her life forever. Somehow transported into the future, Ava finds herself at the barrel tip of Nazi German soldier. Transported to their camp as prisoner, Ava is lost and confused as to what, where, and who she is with...the how part is the most antagonizing. Shortly after being saved by two American men, Ava discovers she's been placed at the center of World War Two. Surrounded by warfare and American men who have strict mindsets about women in the the 1940's, the 21-year-old feels like she has no hope of surviving. To even have a chance, Ava has to prove that just because she's a woman, doesn't mean she isn't capable of fighting to survive like the rest of them. Ava finds herself stuck in 1944, with "strange" technology called a cell phone, no way of charging it, and no way of getting home. In the midst of a gruesome and horrifying war, she finds herself questioning more than just sanity of the time period, but even her own. Hopefully, with careful and calculating steps, Ava will survive the blistering cold winters, the first-hand experience of a war, and developing a difficult bond with the men of 1st Platoon. --•--•--•-- This is a work of fan-fiction, which means I don't own practically anything. Except for Aveline Baker and some scenes. Will be based off of/follow the campaign. This work has content pertaining to difficult aspects of WW2 including blood and gore; swearing/harsh language; sexual/crude comments and actions; German POW camps; etc. Please DO NOT READ if you aren't comfortable or have too strong opinions on things related to WW2. It's a fictional story and, thus, should be treated like it. On flip side, there will humor. Especially from Zussman- we all like him. And don't forget moments from hardass Pierson...those will get interesting too. ;) ~Started on September 1st, 2018~ ~Finished September 1st, 2019~
