Charlie Young is seventeen years old and has never had a constant in her life. Given up at birth, she's been bounced from foster home to foster home. Some were fairly nice, but there was always a problem with her, or at least a big enough problem to get rid of her. Charlie's fed up with being a hand-me-down child and is ready to take her life into her hands. But when she runs away to Chicago to become an emancipated minor, will she be able to take care of (and in the process, find) herself?
