There were always two names at the top of the class.

Hizuki Ito.
Yang Jungwon.

Everyone knew them - the smart ones, the quiet one and the unbothered one, the ones who always seemed to be one step ahead of everyone else. Sometimes Hizuki was first, sometimes Jungwon was. But it was always one of them.

Jungwon had grown up here. He didn't try to stand out - but he always did. He was the kind of person who got perfect grades without looking stressed. People thought he didn't care, but the truth was: he cared a lot. He just didn't show it.

Their rivalry didn't start with a fight. It started with numbers. Test scores. Rankings. Who raised their hand first in class. Who teachers praised more. Who finished the assignment better. They never talked about it-they didnt dare, but they both knew - they were in a silent competition.
