I didn't come to Cebu to chase glory. I just want to survive my Chem review, pass the board exams, and maybe-if life decides to be decent-make it to the top.

Back home in Iloilo, Mako's reviewing too. Miles keeps things loud, Kiel keeps things deep, and Zev and Zari keep Mama from losing her mind. I miss that chaos. Here, it's quiet-too quiet sometimes.
Except for one laugh I can't tune out. I keep catching him doing random things-half-smiling, half-distracted-but somehow he still ends up on top. I don't get it. Maybe I don't want to. Or maybe I just want to know how it feels to live that light.
