I didn't come to Cebu to chase glory. I just want to survive my Chem review, pass the board exams, and maybe-if life decides to be decent-make it to the top. 

Para na rin siguro para manahimik na ang mga kapit-bahay na panay ang tanong ng plano namin sa buhay. Para naman hindi na kami ma kwento na mayayaman dati pero ngayon naghihirap na.

Back home in Iloilo, Mako's reviewing too. Miles keeps things loud, Kiel keeps things deep, and Zev and Zari keep Mama from losing her mind. I miss that chaos. Here, it's quiet-too quiet sometimes. 

Except for one laugh I can't tune out. I keep catching him doing random things-half-smiling, half-distracted-but somehow he still ends up on top. I don't get it. Maybe I don't want to. Or maybe I just want to know how it feels to live that light.
