I want to be loved too

"You can't see her at the moment, this is a newly open case," the police officer told me. I just stand there baffled. What is she talking about?

"My sister was doing a normal check up, why is this involving the police? And why can't I go back in? What did she give you? Is she okay, I need to be there to translate, she's mute!" I say trying to explain how I need to be there for my little Viol, she's my sister, my daughter.

"I'm sorry I can't give you more information than that-,"

"What?"

The air flies harshly out of my lungs and I don't try to suck in back in. My vision get crossed eyed and my fingers clams around the arm of the chair behind me. I don't think I heard her correctly.

"We have reason to believe your sister is getting groomed by a close male adult and until we have cleared you your not allowed to be near her or you will get arrested," she says harshly, like she's just waiting to put her hand cuffs on me.

I fall back in my chair with a defeated look. What has she just told me? What happened to my little Viol?
