Scott is an ice skater, he grew up on the ice, it brings him comfort. It's a home away from the chaos of this family life.
Jimmy was bored one day, his friend, Joel, asked him to come watch his girlfriend at practice. He goes and spots Scott. He starts going everyday. And they get closer. They fall in love.
Jimmy gets bad news. He's dying, he won't make it to nationals to watch Scott preform, and he doesn't know how to tell him.
