this book is about a woman who spends her whole life in a mental hospital, ever since she was 14. she was a normal girl, her parents hated her, they turned her in and said she was a danger to people and even herself. but really, she wasn't, or so she thought. she had a son; she acted normal and stable. she gets released to raise her son. by the time he's 18 his mother becomes very ill. he visits his mother for the last time, her last words to him were "I'm not as crazy as people say I am, Tristain, you shall follow my steps, and come find me, I love you be safe." the next day his mother dies.

The last man was taller than the others; he looked as he would be the oldest of the three. He had dark black hair and blue eyes. Not the sky blue like her eyes, these were like a dark sapphire blue something that she had never seen before. She could see every muscle of his arms and chest through his tight shirt. She found herself gawking at the man and had to make herself turn away and close her mouth that was obviously hanging open in surprise. Don't get yourself all worked up, it's probably just the moving guys. The people who move in are probably going to be an old grumpy couple that never wants company she told herself.
