Blood.

My blood-too much of it.

I reached down to the gashes torn across my stomach. I knew I had to move, but I couldn't. The wounds pulsed with every beat of my heart, pushing out blood that was raw and hot. It tingled strangely, black veins branching from the cuts like creeping roots.

Every inch of my body burned. I could barely breathe. My vision blurred, and a dull ache throbbed behind my eyes-but I shoved it aside. I rolled onto my stomach, dug my fingers into the dirt, and dragged myself forward-one arm at a time.

I grit my teeth and pushed on. The road wasn't far. Just a few more feet. Just a few more-

The world tilted. My vision blurred again, then darkened, spinning into black.

A hand landed on my hip in a tight bruising grip and the other snaked up to grab my throat in a light hold. I was pulled flush against his body and into the rightest, most comforting embrace I had ever felt. "You were planning to leave before meeting me, little witch." My heart skipped a beat, that nickname... and suddenly I was back at the night of the blood moon over a month ago, I was grabbed, body trying to put up a right and pull away when one of them smacked me upside the head with what felt like a ceremonial dagger. "Tie her up. We don't need her getting away while we do our summoning." I was tossed not so gently onto the stone altar that I had brushed over when first walking into the church and onto the dais. "Dark Lord, hear my plea! Rise! Do my bidding and I will give you the freedom you desire. Dark Lord, hear you humble servant's cry! Let us meet and destroy this world together. Dark Lord, take this woman as my offering!" As the moon rose higher, changing in color and giving us it's true nature for the night, the fog bleed. The blood moon was my voice, and as my familiar had his opportunity, he dove toward each cultist, cutting off their words. The chanting died but my spell rose. "Dark Lord, take these cultists as my offering!" An eerie silence settled over us, not even a single breath heard in the satiated night as a singular man stepped through the double doors at the entrance into the sanctuary. There was this faint red glow to his skin, eyes like he had plucked them from a cat stared the entire room down. "Who dares summon me?" It worked... One minute I was finding my family's Grimoire laughing at the bullshit content and then the next thing I knew I'm running from my family and stumbling upon Cirque De Soulless, run by a demon who saved my life. He's cold, drop dead gorgeous, and someone I should stay away from, but he might have more information on why my life went upside down.

I closed my eyes ready for my death when I heard a very loud and dangerous growl, I swear I felt the ground under me shook by it. I opened my eyes quickly to see what it is, but I couldn't believe my eyes, I just couldn't. even in this state, me crying mess, in pain, this was just like a dream. H-how is that possible? How can there be a Lycan right in front of me? They exist only in fantasy. I wiped my teary eyes with the back of my hands, it took me only a few seconds to do so, but when I removed my hand the big Lycan which was far away only a few seconds ago was now right in front of me I couldn't help but to scream. How-how did he get here so fast? " p-please let m-me go ... what have I ever done to any of you..?" I felt the hot tears I thought I had them under control falling from my eyes once more. He growled making me cry even harder, I could feel my body starting to shake unstoppably. Just when I didn't know what was next, I felt my self being lifted up in his large arms as I was brought closer to the creature's chest. I was still shaking, I was scared, really scared. ------------ Luna Alexander a strong girl with a kind heart. " I scrub and scrub trying to make it go away. I'd happily go back to walking around internally dead than whatever this is. Watching the crimson substance go down the drain and off my skin- out of sight, out of mind, except it's not going away. I hated that pain was temporary but this... this pain I don't want it. I don't want to feel this. Tears begin to well in my eyes making my vision blurry. Weak. Anger surges in my veins and impulsively my fist connects with a tile on the wall of the shower shattering it. This is emotional. I don't do that. I don't do this- I don't cry in the shower. I don't let my emotions dictate my actions I haven't in a long time. It's stupid. It's childish. It's weak. I glance down at my knuckles on my right hand, watching the tiny cuts heal. Shouting, I punch the tile over and over and over again until blood runs down my arm and drips onto the shower floor. I reach my severely broken hand out under the water, momentarily stinging as water hits the open wounds which unfortunately close over seconds later. I crack whatever bones need it, back into place and look around me. The back wall of the shower is destroyed, shards of tile and blood scattered on the floor. As I stand under the scalding hot stream staring into nothing my mind falls silent for a split second. A few seconds of solace until everything comes crashing back. The tightness in my chest and my stomach, the cloudiness in my brain, the anger, the sadness. It all comes back. I sit down away from the shattered pieces of tile, curling my legs up and letting the near boiling water hit my back. There was a feeling of relief in losing everything I was. Whatever it is that has clawed it's way to the surface, I want it gone. I want that relief back. "
