Aislieng Siahwhon wants to master the morning star. She needs to. And she will do whatever it takes to master the spiritual weapon of her village and heritage. 

In between taking classes, she trains. There's not enough time for morning star preparations. But on the crowning ceremony... she is deemed unworthy.

Angry at herself, she decides she needs to up her training. Aislieng's motto: Whatever. It. Takes.

Even stumbling into a cult? A bloodthirsty, mindless cult serving a higher-in-status-and-height-but-not-in-"better"-terms being? Will she become 99 Nights in the Forest's guardian general of the cultists and be able to wield the high weapon of the morning star?
