You're just a sailor's, more accurately a fisherman's, daughter. Just Adelaide. Nothing special, nothing fancy. But can you sail a boat? Oh yeah. Your family owned two small Dories (disclaimer, the Dories are not described accurately and are instead more like a modern keel boat). One was for your father to sail daily, the other was for you, and in considerably worse condition. However, you spend much of your time fixing it up, so it was in significantly better condition. Now, at 16, you're strong enough to sail it all by yourself. Of course, it's nice to have a friend come along, but theoretically, it's not too difficult. Is it ladylike? Fuck no. Does anyone care all that much? Not really.
