Sloane Rosewood is a 23 year old woman who works as a nurse at a certain hospital in a small town called Forkes, she lives with her father who is a drunk, alcoholic and will not let her move out until she pays him back all the money he has ever spent on her... She never tells anyone what goes on at home, her father tends to beat her a lot and doesn't allow her to eat most of the time.
Carlisle Cullen is the town Doctor, he's very popular and just like Sloane he has a secret of his own and his family. His sister Esme lives with her husband (Nick) in Carlisle's house with his five adopted children; Emmett, Rosalie, Alice, Jasper and Edward who fell in love with a human girl called Bella and they had a child called Renesmee together and they all live in Carlisle's house. Alice tells Carlisle his soulmate works at the hospital with him and that's when he starts to notice Sloane, the woman always cover's her arms, never showing any skin and Carlisle notices she barely eats but she treats all her patients with such care and kindness.
