Eighteen year old Angel Corazon never knew her place in the world. A runaway from her abusive "family" at fifteen, she's been living on the streets of Metro Manila City, begging, scavenging, surviving.
An eventful night in an abandoned alleyway, which included an encounter with a manananggal, a monster that Angel only thought existed in myths, plus a group of teenagers around her age, led by this REALLY cute girl, brings her to The Sanctuary, hidden from the "blind" by magic. Not only that, but she finds out that she's the daughter of the star goddess, Tala. And...the second prophesied child!?
Things are not looking good for the Kingdom of Floreshka, the kingdom colors and of good spirits and creatures. The evil demon Kalagua plans to drain all the colors of the Kingdom one by one, and according to the prophecy; "When the two lights rise as one, the Demon King's color shall be undone."
