It starts with a fake relationship and a broken espresso machine. It ends with a question neither of them are ready to answer.

Élise has spent years keeping her head down and her heart out of reach, running her family's café in a quiet corner of Paris. She likes control. Routine. Silence. What she doesn't like is Theo, the awkwardly charming British guy who shows up with no clue how to steam milk and even less idea how to survive in France.

But when Theo's visa problems collide with Élise's need for a convenient excuse to dodge her arrogant ex, they strike a deal: a fake relationship. Just a few rules. No kissing. No falling. No real feelings.
