The De La Vegas and Lascaris families have been bitter rivals for a long time. Amidst the intense animosity between the two families, a passionate love affair would blossom between Mia Isabella, Don Emiliano's timid youngest daughter, and Ishmael, Don Ignacio's only son and sole heir. However, their secret meeting was exposed, and they were separated. But, because of their strong love and desire to be together again, they both prepared to flee and live distantly. Unfortunately, Don Emiliano discovered their escape, and Ishmael's life was ended at the hands of the Don. Mia Isabella committed suicide as a result of her extreme grief over her fiancé's death. But fate had other plans. More than a hundred years later, Mia Isabella was reborn in the fourth generation of the Lascaris as Anastasia Vera. Unbeknownst to her, she is destined to return to her prior life through a mysterious ancient painting. Therefore, her shuttered love with Ishmael in 1886 was retold once again.
