This is a character-driven, atmospheric work of speculative fiction exploring the boundaries of isolation and the resilience of the human mind.
Where time loses meaning and function becomes identity. 'The Astronaut' is his name and title. It is what he is and everything he was and will be. His vessel is empty, much too large for its sole inhabitant, yet still diligently cared for.
The tasks on the ship's hull are a break from monotony. The sun visits -- or something that resembles what the sun gives -- on the edge of the solar wing. They spend time together, in the embraces of space where sound cannot travel.
