When danger falls, surely the most trustworthy cats would be your dear clanmates... right?
With greenleaf comes a time of peace for the clans, and gives Leafblaze the perfect opportunity to settle into her new role and earn the respect she's always yearned for from her clanmates. But when a warrior and an apprentice go missing without a trace, she feels she has to ramp up her authority and get cats to listen.
As Skyclan sorts out their troubles, two apprentices meet, both outsiders in their clan. While they know it's pushing the code, the two start having "accidental" meetups by the border, sharing prey and finding comfort in knowing there's someone who'll show up for them. Unfortunately, what was meant to be a moment of clan bonding turns into panic between Patchpaw and Dapplepaw, both sharing a secret that could destroy the trust between cats.

Rockpaw feels like an outcast, everyday being hated on by his Clanmates for seeing things differently. So when the chance to prove them wrong comes up, he doesn't give it a second thought. That is what has been passed down from generations. Not every tale has to end like that: StarClan saving everyone with the chosen cat, everyone loving the hero or heroine - but it always does. So facing a challenge such as missing cats shouldn't be a challenging task. Moons pass on, cats keep disappearing faster and faster; nobody is doing anything to prevent the case. Everyone is relying on StarClan to send the prophecy to their medicine cat, just hoping that one day, the fiasco will end. Yet that's not the way fear works its way into hearts.
