Thunderbolts* Fanfic | Romance Subplot (Walker x OC x Zemo)

Sephira stood barefoot on nothing. There were no floors. No sky. Only darkness stretching infinitely. Only judgement waiting to be cast.

"Multiversal Anomaly."

A tri-headed being with golden skin began. He stood at the center of the trial. His voice echoed, deep, rumbling into the void.

"Wielder of the cursed blade."

A massive, glowing creature of metal added. Its six red eyes burned, like stars of dying embers.

"Disruptor of balance - a cosmic error."

A creature, unfathomable, a silhouette embodying the cosmos accused her. Its skin glistened with stars, outlined by the birth of universes.

"You were never meant to be."

An abnormally large head spoke, its body seemingly too small. It watched, unblinking, as if witnessing a mistake that should have never existed.

She did not flinch nor resist. Her head slowly lifted. Mismatched pair of eyes - deep, emerald green. Bright, golden yellow - stared back at each of her prosecutors.

"Then, erase me."

A flicker. Reality faltered once more.

"That is, if you can."

After the events of Civil War, the Avengers were left fractured emotionally and politically. Some became fugitives, others worked in secret, and several walked away after the battle in Wakanda. Thanos did come... but he never got the chance to snap. The Avengers, divided and bleeding, stood together one last time with unexpected help and stopped him. No one died, but the scars ran deep. Now they are trying to get back together. The world, however, lost faith in its heroes. Governments stopped trusting them. Oscorp rose quietly from the shadows. And old enemies like Zemo began gathering strength, ready to strike when the world's protectors were at their weakest. Nick Fury disappeared after the final battle. But he never stopped watching. From the shadows He was looking for survivors. People with conviction. People who had lost and kept going. People like her. You weren't just another recruit. You were the fire they'd forgotten they needed. "They fight for what was. You... you'll fight for what's next. The world doesn't need more broken idols. It needs new fire. And you... you burn." But not everyone welcomes you. Bucky Barnes doesn't trust easily, especially not someone who knows too much and says too little. You're not afraid of him. He's not sure if that's a good thing. You clash. You fight. And somehow, in the quiet between storms, you begin to fall. Author's note: This story takes place in an altered version of the Marvel universe, where some timelines have been adjusted to fit the narrative. I hope you enjoy diving into this powerful, messy, and emotional journey.
One Final Mission| Bucky Barnes (3) by MaladaptiveNarrator

"Where are you going with this?" "You know where I'm going with this," Jessica said. "She thinks the most dangerous people are the ones who lie to themselves about who they are the longest." "Absolutely not," Bucky snapped, stepping forward, his hands bracing the counter like it was the only thing grounding him. "Jess, are you insane? You will lose everything you've built, everything you fought and survived to become. You really want to give her that satisfaction?" Jessica moved around the island, calm but resolute, standing in front of him now. "If we can prove she's assembled a team of enhanced individuals... if we find them? That's all the evidence we need to bury her. No trials. No backroom politics. Just facts." Bucky let out a low sigh, scrubbing a hand down his face. "So what, you're just going to stroll into her trap and hope it leads somewhere?" "Val wants me on her team?" Jessica leaned in slightly, eyes steady. "Then that's exactly what I'll give her." A smirk ghosted across her lips. "And then we tear her empire down from the inside." *** [Book 3] Prequel: The First Mission Book 1: One Last Mission Book 2: One More Mission Book 3: One Final Mission Bucky Barnes x Jessica Rogers (Fem!OC) Based on the events of Thunderbolts* Started: 07.05.25 Completed: 04.06.25 *** Content Warning: This book contains sexual content, violence, death, and other mature themes. One Last Job--John Walker by ThatRandomRainbow
21 parts Complete
A John Walker Fic After he's disgraced as the "New" Captain America and replaced by Sam Wilson, Walker spends his days doing absolutely nothing but wallowing in regret. But when he gets a call from a woman named Valentina about a job, one last job, before he can spend his life alone and he reluctantly agrees. But this one is different...he's given borrowed equipment and told to hunt down a Shadow, a mutant human running rampage in Europe and he's only got two weeks. When John makes it to Berlin, her last known location he doesn't expect much and debates just dipping, running off and praying they don't find him. But when he stumbled quite literally into his target he realises he may be in over his head....both in this job and with her. Alex Cross is a mutated experiment and was supposed to be Canada's answer to Captain America, or at least that's what her POS father was promised when he sold her for 200,000. But it was a lie, and Alex became Shadow, a mutant with the ability to trap people, not in life but in their mind among a couple other unique challenges. When she spots someone interesting and follows him, she finds John Walker, a disgraced and also replacement Captain America. She decides to spare him, telling him her life story and seeing if maybe she can change his mind. For the fake Hydra that kept her for 20 years in the Siberian wilderness isn't quite dead, she missed one, and he's on a rampage. But if John and Alex can have any hope of working together they need to realise they're not so different...and quite possibly made for each other. set in Pre-Thunderbolts*, Thunderbolts* and Beyond

When new intel comes through about a Hydra weapon, the avengers split into two teams, one checking out a new base, while the other scours an old one. It's no coincidence that the intel comes through, and they find files about experiments done to one person. 'winter 2.0' the team calls her, but to Bucky, the fear sinks in as memories resurface about one soldier in particular, Ace. Stronger, deadlier and she made the winter soldier in him afraid. The work together to find out all they can, not realising that they are being watched by the very soldier herself. After an attack on the compound, which leaves quite a few of the team shaken, one avengr in particular is intrigued by the univited guest now residing in the holding cells. Who is the masked assailant, and why is it, she listened to him? **** The soldier begins to remember her past, fighting against all the Hydra conditioning, to remember who she was. Why does one of the men stand out? Who is he, and why does she have an overwhelming need to protect him? She knows Hydra will stop at nothing to get their soldiers back, but will she submit to Hydra or fight for right to live free? With lives on the line, sacrifices will be made, but who will live and who will die? ⚠️ Trigger warning ⚠️ Will contain swearing, adult themes, torture, abuse, smut, violence and depression. I DO NOT OWN ANY RIGHTS TO MARVEL, THIS IS JUST A FANFIC MADE UP. Does have some of the MCU storielines, but not in order.
