A Transformers AU. Emily Hale is a 19 year old girl living on the outskirts of Dallas, living with her dad, trying to make ends meet. She finds an abandoned old Ford Mustang, which turns out to be an Autobot in hiding, his name is Maximum Overdrive, or Max, and he's an outcast just like she is. Sent to Earth to hide out for safety from the Decepticons, he's not the nicest to her at first, but she grows on him eventually. At the peak of their friendship, the Decepticons attack Earth, and it's up to Max to protect her.
