Twelve years ago, an explosion resulted in a hero being made, or, what was meant to be a hero.
Pierce, once a symbol of peace, is now a broken man suffering the grief of losing his ex-partner. His lovers death led to the world around him crumbling, and becoming the primary provider for his lovers younger brother only made his situation worse.
He's trying to get by, to care for the boy while they're both stuck in a loop of grief, when their lives get flipped upside down.
Only, essentially getting kidnapped into a new universe, Earth-613012, doesn't really make this sort of situation any easier. And now Pierce has to balance caring for a teenager, while also adapting to this new reality.
