The English version of my ongoing project.
I translated it myself mostly, with a little help from ChatGPT as I'm not a native English speaker, so there might be some rough spots in the wording - feel free to point them out, I'd really appreciate it!

A cyberpunk short about parties and drinking. Or is it? --------------------------------------- The first (and sadly only) short story I ever completed. It's actually 6 years old by now. Sci-fi anime fans may recognize the names Cyberia and JJ from Serial Experiments Lain. This was deliberate, though I would not call this story a fanfiction. Rather they are a homage to one of the works that got me into sci-fi. I am very much open to feedback. In the year 2350, humanity is no longer human-not fully. Corporate greed and automation have blurred the line between man and machine. Cybernetic enhancements are no longer optional, synthetic caretakers have grown disturbingly intelligent, and the definition of "personhood" is now regulated by law. When a low-level worker inherits their mother's crushing medical debt, they're thrust into the crosshairs of powerful factions vying for control of a society on the brink of civil war. As ideologies clash-the humanist Purists, transhumanist Ascendents, capitalist Sovereigns, and sentient Synthetics-the protagonist must navigate loyalty, survival, and identity in a fractured world where choosing a side might cost them their soul. Apocalypse
There was a major war that happened and now the government is trying a new experiment on the city. The main character, Alex, and her best friends who are twins are seeing that something isn't right. They're seniors in high school but because of the war, they've been separated on government orders. No one is allowed outside because the government is making people to believe its toxic. They believe that if the parents believe it, the kids will too. But it doesn't stop Alex. She and her best friends decide that they are going to try and stop this. But how? They have no clue. And they might just maybe come out in top...maybe. This is gonna be the story of those teens that might just save the world. The Love Revolution
Years ago there was a blackout. One day all the lights went out. The cars stopped running. Electricity no longer existed. Nothing that ran on electricity works anymore. People panicked and tried to survive for as long as they could. Some made it out of cities the others stayed. Our government fell and militias took control. The Monroe militia took over. Then one day he found electricity again. He used it for bad and soon conquered the whole world. Years later our world now runs on electricity again. The Monroe militia is still in power and they force teens to go into an academy to train as merciless killers. This is where I go.
