Stories of Violyn
A series of loosely connected oneshots, depicting scenes from the life of Caitlyn and Vi in the following few months after Arcane season 2. Some are just blatant slice-of-life fluff, and some have a bit more going on narratively, dealing with stuff like Caitlyn's dad, Vi's drinking habits, the couple's home, Vi's job, etc. I don't want to break the universe, nor build on it too much, so don't expect huge events or many AU chapters. This work is starting to turn into a bit of an anthology, sometimes with wildly different chapters regarding tone, so the last chapter is the Table of Contents with short summaries to make taking your pick easier. Caitlyn, The daughter of Cassandra Kiramman. she's studying to be an enforcer. she's a smart girl, straight A student, rich family, and a good environment. Vi, The daughter of Vander (technically.) she's not really into all of the school bs. she does what she wants, when she wants. she brawls. she's a strong girl that would do anything for her family. but when the schools of Piltover and Zaun must merge together to slowly bring everyone and everything to peace, how will the people react to people from undercity roaming around the streets and schools of Topside? how will Vi and Caitlyn react when they meet? will they become friends? maybe more? will they hate each other? let's find out how the girls interact with one another. Vi took a step closer, voice teasing. "Why does it bother you, hmm?" Caitlyn hated how her heart sped up. She looked away, grumbling, "Because... because you're supposed to be loyal to me." Vi's smirk faltered slightly. Caitlyn crossed her arms tighter. "I mean-not that we ever had anything. But still! You-You can't just..." She trailed off, biting her lip. Vi studied her for a long moment. "Caitlyn." Caitlyn refused to meet her gaze. Vi sighed, softer now. "I'm single, okay?" Caitlyn swallowed. Vi hesitated before continuing. "But yeah, I... I do love someone." Caitlyn hiccupped, rubbing at her eyes furiously. Vi reached for her, concerned. "Caitlyn, why are you-" "I knew it!" Caitlyn blurted, voice wobbling. Vi blinked. "Knew what?" Caitlyn sniffled. "You do love someone! And-and now I have to compete with them?" Vi opened her mouth-then shut it, utterly baffled. "I-what?" Caitlyn grabbed Vi's hands. "Just-just love me instead!" ---- Caitlyn Kiramman has everything-fame, fortune, and a career that keeps the world watching. But with the spotlight comes danger, and when a series of anonymous threats escalate, her security team hires Violet, a former underground fighter with a no-nonsense attitude and a past she refuses to talk about. Violet is everything Caitlyn isn't-rough, unpredictable, and infuriatingly stubborn. From their first meeting, sparks fly, but not the good kind. Caitlyn finds her bodyguard impossible, while Violet sees Caitlyn as just another spoiled celebrity. Warzone
War has taken over in both Piltover and Zaun. Piltover and its new Sheriff Caitlyn strategizes with new hextech weaponry as she and her allies debate how best to approach Zaun. Vi battles internally with herself over what she really wants. When Vi and Cait come together to fight for justice, Caitlyn must convince Vi to stay with the cause while Vi struggles to keep Cait from being consumed by vengeance. Through the war, Caitlyn and Vi must both keep track of their priorities and make several personal decisions that may change the fate of their cities forever. A what-if continuation of S1 events before S2 comes out [may diverge from lore canon and from S2 canon once it comes out] [in progress] PROGRESS UPDATE Chapter 32 is up! Did I already mention this story is a tragedy? Well sorry in advance 'cause you can probably tell why now. Anyways I just alway thought the CaitVi subplot would be the perfect tragedy, given the tragic nature of Arcane S1, I was so sure that they would capitalize on it in S2. But am I happy that they're canonically together? Yes. Rights for all characters belong to RiotGames and Fortiche.
