In the world of Dragonfire, anything is possible. Flying, teleportation, invisibility, the ability to create a lightning storm on a whim...anything can be done. And anything can exist. Goblins, Orcs, Dragons, Dwarves, Kitsunes...there are countless races, and countless abilities. A world of fantasy in which anything is achievable. Or so it seems. After all, everything has a cost. And victory...victory is the most costing of all. Across the Black Sea, guarded by the Leviathan, there exists a large land separated into five territories. Celestia, Arvan, Ingres, Illicen, and Arumi. These five territories are named after those who control them. At least, that is how it used to be. From a distant land, the Snake Kingdom managed to bypass the Leviathan, and invade these five territories! Under the guidance of General Clauve, they crushed everyone in sight, until their only remaining opponent was Celestia. But they made a mistake, and Celestia capitalized. In a crushing defeat, the Snake Kingdom was bested after nearly 8 years of conflict. After the war ended, Albedo Aria, a soldier from Celestia, was promoted to the rank of General. But she didn't feel like a hero. Suffering from severe PTSD, this story follows her as she tries to overcome the nightmares of war, and move on from the terrible things she was forced to do. She was raised to be a soldier, and joined the war from the age of eleven. As a soldier of Celestia, she could never, and still cannot ever disobey any orders. When war calls, she must answer. Whether she is truly willing to or not. But after four years without conflict, surely things couldn't reach that state again? Or perhaps that isn't the case. After all, her dear cousin must deliver a letter to her. A letter telling her that the Snake Kingdom is on the rise in their very own land. A letter telling her that every sliver of happiness she has gained after the war ended will be lost. A letter telling her that she must return to war...

"She's my mate!" Zane yelled causing both the man and I to widen our eyes. Mate? Is Zane Australian? "No. That's not possible. She's-" Zane cut him off with a blow to the jaw. "Get out before I throw you out of the pack." I took a step back from the boys and shifted uncomfortably. "Pack? Look I don't know what kind of cult thing you guys are involved with but I just want to go back to my old life." The man laughed. "Babe, your old life doesn't exist anymore." "Don't call her that," Zane growled and pushed him out the door. I walked over to the couch and sat down, holding my head in my hands. "Hey," Zane sat next to me and put his hand on my shoulder, sending bolts of electricity through my body. I quickly stood up and looked at Zane. "What was that?" Zane smiled and shrugged. • • • Devina Stavros, believe it or not, never hated her life. She didn't despise the name calling and occasional pushes and shoves. She didn't mind the constant absence of her mother or the fact that the only living being who cared for her was her goldfish, Mr. Freddles. She learned to accept her life. She knew the things people at school and her mother pounded into her head were true. She was just a little nerd. But after a mysterious animal attack at her high school, everything changes and nothing makes sense anymore. The things she's read about in childhood fairy tales and seen on television are all true. Werewolves. Vampires. Witches. Everything.

HYBRID: Cursed to Darkness

31 parts Ongoing Mature

Once, Jaxon was only a boy of the woods-growing up beside Erie, chasing childhood adventures beneath the moonlight, and dreaming of a future untouched by war. But destiny is cruel. Fire consumed his world, leaving him with nothing but grief, rage, and the curse of his bloodline. Born a werewolf, Jaxon sharpened his pain into steel. With blades forged in sacred fire, he hunted the children of the night-turning vampire hearts to ash and carving his name into legend. For decades, he walked as a shadow, immortal and relentless, feared by monsters and revered by men. But his war drew the attention of Valeria, the immortal Vampire Queen. Beautiful, cunning, and merciless, she ensnared Jaxon in chains of blood and desire. Turned against his will, he became the very thing he despised-neither wolf nor vampire, but something darker. Something more. A Hybrid. Now, trapped between two worlds, Jaxon must wrestle with his hunger, his rage, and the dangerous seduction of power. The line between love and damnation blurs as kingdoms rise, wars ignite, and shadows whisper of a prophecy that only he can fulfill. In the end, will Jaxon master the curse within him-or be consumed by it?
