The five dragon-warriors de GabriandAthos
13 partes Concluida
Torin has always felt out of place in his small village. Despite the familiarity of his surroundings, he cannot shake the feeling that he doesn't belong. He longs for a place where he can truly be himself, away from the expectations of his people, a life free of the stifling weight of conformity. His dreams are filled with a sense of belonging, a vision of a life where he is accepted for who he is, not for who others expect him to be. One fateful day, while attending the annual Dragon Safe Arena, where dragons are brought to be killed for sport and fear, something extraordinary happens. A black dragon, larger and more majestic than any Torin has ever seen, enters the arena. The crowd erupts in excitement, but Torin feels an unexpected connection. The dragon's eyes lock onto his, and in that moment, he hears a voice-not in his ears, but in his mind. The dragon speaks to him, its words clear, yet impossible: "I see you, young one. You do not belong here." In a shock of realization, Torin understands the dragon's plea. No one else can hear it, no one else can understand the words-but Torin can. At that moment, everything changes. He chooses to defy the world he's always known, running away with the dragon, escaping the village that never understood him. As they journey together, seeking refuge in the wilds, they encounter other teens-four others-each of whom carries their own special gift. They, too, are misfits. One has the power to control the wind, another can manipulate shadows, a third can speak to animals, and the last can heal with a touch. The group of them, united by their unique abilities, form an unlikely family.

Every year, swaths of 20-year-olds descend upon a college campus. Unfortunately, this college specializes in war, in consideration of the one raging at its borders. Outposts and enemies line the eastern mountains, guarded by many from the army, but most notably, the Dragon Riders. (Y/N)'s future was determined long before they were born. As far as they were concerned, none of that destiny included Basgiath; not after they watched their grandfather descend into mad ramblings from his battles after bonding a dragon, then fell to the whims of a power-hungry Colonel who would do anything to hurt them. The quadrant destroyed the good and empowered the bad, and they wanted nothing to do with it, no matter what their name spelled. Xaden Riorson's future was clear, no Basgiath or dragons in sight. That was, until he was 16, when his father's apostasy-turned-secession fell apart; his home was burned; and his father went missing, only to be reported by someone he thought was an ally, then murdered. Unfortunately for both of them, Basgiath wouldn't let them off so easily. Xaden had a two year head start and became a Wingleader, ready-and willing-to sacrifice anything to fulfill his goals. Some may call them selfish and many call him ruthless, but he's no stranger to prescribed titles. (Y/N) stood before the bridge, but they had no intention of making it across. Their ruined future and unstable life would be given to a cause much more worthy than the torture of Basgiath: their mother, their father, and their patron: Zihnal, the God of Chaos. *THEY/THEM* [Book 1 of 2]

"The gods are silent. The surface is ash. And something ancient just opened its eyes underground." Beneath the shattered remains of the old world, survivors live by the light of dying ley-lines and the brutal order of the Guilds. Kaelen Vire, a mercenary with a haunted past, and Rook Dastan, his wolf-blooded companion, expected another job. What they found instead was a child-abandoned, ley-sick, and impossible. The boy shouldn't be alive. He hums with magic that should not exist. And the deeper they go, the more the world bends around him. Now pursued by cult fanatics, hunted by relic-born horrors, and tangled in a prophecy no one remembers writing, Kaelen and Rook must decide: save the child, or survive the world that wants him forgotten. The Stones are stirring. The Ashen Veil is watching. And something lost is calling itself home. Author Note: "It explores identity through queerness, loss, and transformation. The world of Emberdeep and beyond is not safe. It is brutal, beautiful, and dripping with myth made flesh." CONTENT DISCLOSURE: CRIMSON TIDE - THE ASHEN VEIL This story contains mature themes including post-apocalyptic survival, body horror, psychological trauma, cult manipulation, interdimensional war, and the existential burden of inherited power. Viewer discretion is advised for depictions of violence, grief, and magical corruption. This is not a tale of heroes-it is a chronicle of chosen scars and the price of remembering.

Deadlands Saga: The Drop

13 partes Continúa

Waking up in the Deadlands, Fury has no idea who or what she is, or what this place even is. The others welcome her with open arms, and Fury finds a sort of found family among them. Each of these people have odd gifts, powers that allow them to do extraordinary things. As for Fury, she controls shadows. But when she's thrust into this new world with her powers fully formed, she sees a vision ... one that tells her she has a long lost sister, one she doesn't remember. When Zoey comes to the Deadlands, though, she doesn't remember anything, and her name there is Vixen. And she's much different from the rest of the people Fury's been with. Vixen wasn't given a collar to nullify her powers when she arrived in the Deadlands, and so, her powers are more wild. Less easily contained. So, they try to bring her to the Glowing River, where she can learn how to control her powers better. But something happens, something unexpected, and when she comes back, there are more monsters within the woods than there was before. And they all are after Fury and Vixen. Betrayal is lingering at the edges of this found family, and many harsh trials are ahead of them. But in the Deadlands, even death is not permanent. So, what will happen next?
