After years at sea serving in the Summerset Royal Navy, Lieutenant Arnold de Lancey returns home to the elegant port city of Seaside. However, while he war is over, peace proves to be harder to endure than the battlefield. Surrounded by both familiar places and unwanted expectations, Arnold struggles to adjust to his new life on land.

For Arnold, the things he saw and did during the war refuse to stay buried. And while others celebrate victory, Arnold finds himself drifting. Unable to explain what haunts him, and unwilling to pretend he's the same man who left. Society expects him to be a hero, but what it gets is someone unsure of how to speak of the pain that it doesn't want to hear. Or the struggles that it doesn't care to acknowledge. 

This story follows one man's quiet fight to make sense of his past and find his place in a city that he no longer recognizes.All Rights Reserved
