Quinn Bhat just found out their mother is dead. She left for a research exhibition and never came back. They didn't even get to say goodbye. Now, with hardly any warning, much less time to grieve, they must move across and ocean leaving behind everyone they've ever known to live with the father they've never met, a man no less busy than their mother was.
Unceremoniously dumped at Pine Mountain Academy, a boarding school in a tiny town north of Quebec City, Quinn is left to figure out what happens now. But maybe between huge storms, mysterious disappearances, and rumours of ghosts, their mother's story isn't over yet. And maybe, it's up to them to continue it.
