Joy is the odd one out in her family of witches. She is supposed to be able to do magic but ever since her parents death she just cant seem to get past the mental block in her head. But when tragedy strikes and a war begins she realizes that her magic is the only way to save the people she loves. And some people she loathes... Like August, a soldier of the Underworld. Their job is to enforce the laws that all paranormals have to abide by. They are called Chrillions and they are the ones that killed her parents. And now they have to work together to stop the war that will upset the balance of good and evil forever
