I thought you didn't dance with mortals," I whispered, the words catching in my throat like thorns. We turned, slowly, as the room spun around us. Every step felt like a secret. Every glance, a confession. He watched me the way a dying man might watch the dawn - like he knew he couldn't keep me, but couldn't bear to look away. "I don't," he said. His voice wasn't cold tonight. It was unguarded, almost broken. Like he hated that he would soon falter. I didn't ask why. I already knew. This dance wasn't part of the bargain. This dance was a surrender. There are songs older than the stars, and Seraphina has always dreamed of hearing them. Born into silk and candlelight, she was raised to smile, to curtsy, to become what others wished of her. But her heart has always strained against the golden leash - yearning for freedom, for purpose, for something real. She paints her prayers into the moonlight and hides poems in the folds of her gowns, waiting for a story that belongs to her. One night at a royal ball, she finds it. A stranger cloaked in starlight and shadow asks her to dance - and the world stills. For when she looks up, she realizes he is no man at all. He is the Archer of Death. The immortal who never misses. The primordial who ends all things. And Death needs a mortal. He offers her a bargain: the admission into the Celestial Academy she's longed for - where only immortals and chosen bloodlines are permitted to walk - in exchange for a task only a human can do. For her, it's a dream finally within reach. For him, it's the key to reclaiming something long lost: his true name - the key to the cosmos' deepest secrets. She accepts, not knowing the arrow he loosed was meant for her. Now bound by fate and an ancient prophecy, Seraphina must navigate a world of dying constellations, divine politics, and a love that should never have been. He was forged to strike true. She was fated to be his only miss.

(under editing, interested ones may reach out to me) In the symphony of love, their melodies intertwined, yet fate's chorus whispered no promise of forever. In a journey where hearts yearned but souls wandered apart, they discovered that true love sometimes meant embracing the courage to release, for the sake of finding happiness in the echoes of what could have been. ... SNEAK A PEAK Never have I ever thought that one day, I'll wake up to hear these words from a person I love the most, romantically. I pushed him back, I held him by his shoulders and pinned to the wall. I know I wrongfully confined him, but how dare he? 'You dare question my love for you?" I raised my voice. He is surprised, he widened his little eyes, those I would love to stare at all day or may be he is shocked as well. HAHA!! I Find it annoyingly funny how easily he quoted 'Thank god, You didn't love me too deep in the ocean', "Oh darling, wait till you drown inside and ask for my help when you can't swim to the shore" I retorted and defended my love.
