History called it the Great Hysteria. The Solanum strain of SARS-CoV-2 didn't just sicken the world; it fractured its mind. While most suffered a severe respiratory illness, a small percentage were afflicted with a terrifying neurological degradation: violent aggression, followed by a vacant, catatonic state. Society's fear, once directed at a virus, was now aimed at the infected-the confused, the aggressive, the lost souls shambling through silent cities. We didn't collapse from the plague, but from the terror of each other.

A millennium later, in 3035, the scars of that panic are etched into our DNA. But now, we have a key to undo it. Project: Solanum is not a mission of prevention, but of redemption. Our team will travel back to the pandemic's peak, armed with "Aetheris," a miraculous mRNA vaccine that can be delivered directly to the bloodstream. It doesn't just create immunity; it hunts the Solanum virus in the brain, reversing the neurological damage and pulling the infected back from the brink.

Our mission is simple: cure the past to save the future. But how do you heal a world that has already learned to fear its own? The real virus we must fight may not be Solanum, but the primal panic it unleashed.

Trigger warning - Severely sensitive topics. Around 25 years ago, an unknown virus plagued the Earth- targeting none other than the cells responsible for constructing one's genetic code. Humans, animals, plants- any living matter that comes in contact with it quickly faces its immense mutational power, sparking nothing but unruly destruction. This living nightmare demanded more than a simple adaptation, it forced a complete overhaul on daily life. Yet, despite humanity's best efforts to adapt to this new system- cities plummeted to the ground, nations were obliterated in chaotic arrays of fire, countries infected by the scourge of madness brought about by meaningless war. Humanity was driven to the brink of extinction. In a desperate attempt to survive these conditions, humanity came up with something to protect them. Colonies. A radius considered a "Safe Zone", as it incapacitates any infected attempting to breach its perimeter. Its the perfect environment to rebuild what's left of society. On the flip-side, the infected create nests of their own, producing genetic amalgams beyond human comprehension, and attracting many others of their kind. It is assumed that their sole objective is to propagate. Consume. These are called "Contamination Zones", and their increased numbers have caused dozens of Colonies, and outposts alike, to suffer breaches and irreversible changes all over the continent. The infected are ruthlessly growing stronger. Rhys, the Warden of Zamaton Colony, has taken measures to prevent the catastrophic events from ever reaching their quiet life, where Kayden Moss, the survivalist in question, has lived for the past 3 years. If all goes well, they'll avoid these breaches, Or so it seems...

100 years ago, amidst WW3's nuclear bombing, a deadly virus was released in the atmosphere and nearly wiping out the humanity. It lives inside the human brain thriving on the empathy receptors, leading to irrational behaviour and ultimately brain death. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. As a last resort and with a dying planet, the Supreme Government created the City, a place to contain the infected survivors suitable for the experiment. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages. To minimize the threats, the Colonies have sent their best soldiers to oversee the trial and protect its key subjects. If only things were going according to plan, or better...stay hidden. With Iron Guard, the resistance outside the walls, hunting the Purebloods too, will the trial save human race before it's too late? #3 in #dystopianfuture (27.06.2020)

They said that "Changing is part of LIFE.", at least that's what the CSD (Change and Save Department) used to say. They thought they created a "cure". A cure to save many people's lives from sickness, cancer, and all. Unfortunately... They were wrong. It was fine at first... However, their first test subject? It was for no good. Instead of a cure, they made a "virus". The virus is incurable for now. Many people protested against the CSD and the government. It changed.. but it was never saved... They said that once they bit you, in an hour the virus will spread throughout your body and kill you, then you'll be alive but not like you used to be. There are many survivors, but there are also many who have been turned into monsters. They call these monsters, "zombies". The CSD promised that they'll find a cure, but much-lost hope, lost hope for being alive, lost hope for survival. A 17 yrs. the old girl was in between that. Everything might sound and look horrible but she never lost hope for survival. "I'm running out of food.." she kept on talking to herself since there was no one but her. She saw a grocery store nearby so she checked it out if there were food, and fortunately, there was. She stuffed the food in her bag until she heard something. "Is someone there?" She asked, she hoped it wasn't what she thought about but there it was. The zombie's legs were twisted so it will have a hard time catching her. However, she never encountered that close. She stuffed the last food in her bag and ran. She ran to the girl's restroom. When she opened the door there were zombies! It almost caught her but fortunately, nothing happened to her. She ran back but there were more! "Please don't say this is how I'm going to die!" She said to herself. Is she going to die? Who will she meet? Will they survive this cruel world?? When the multiverse cracks, only the forgotten shall remember. Across an infinite lattice of realms, where wormholes carve paths through dimensions and stars burn with coded prophecy, a cataclysm stirs, an ancient, deliberate, and far older than time itself. The Original Continuum is unraveling. Summoned by a cryptic terminal message, seven chosen souls, Sol, Xairo, Caelith, Jacob, Kyle, Aris and Ryn, unaware that they are the last safeguard between existence and absolute collapse. Each bears a dormant connection to a Spirit, a spectral echo of their will, far weaker than a Conduit, yet potent enough to shape reality through combat, memory, and resolve. But the true storm brews far beyond. The Godly Conduits, eternal forces like Absolute Anarchy, Perfect Tranquility, and 0, have begun to stir. Once symbols, now sentient. Once anchors, now fractured weapons. These beings do not serve. They decide the fabric of spacetime itself. With the emergence of the Several God tier Orb, mythical artifacts forged before the First Collapse, and the resurgence of the Veltrian Script, language of the Titans and Aetherials, the past and future bleed into now. Realms are falling into Miasmia, and the Watcher of Phantomnexis has taken the stage, a being who deceived even the Annihilator itself. This is not a battle for peace. It is a war for continuity. A rewriting of meaning. To stand against the coming void, they must transcend what they are. Not champions. Not heroes. But concepts, forged in entropy, bound in memory, and risen through will. There came a time when the prophecy fell, when truth withered into its final testament. From that end rose the arch nemesis, the substantial antimony of all order, wrapped in the shroud of the ultimate miasmia, repeated through histories of Atlantis itself and beyond.

The world had never seen such chaos. It started subtly, whispers of a new virus spreading in distant corners of the globe. At first, it seemed like just another outbreak, contained by the swift response of medical teams and governments. But then, it mutated. What began as a simple infection quickly spiraled into an unstoppable pandemic, turning friends, family, and neighbors into mindless, ravenous creatures. As cities fell into darkness and society crumbled, the survivors were left to navigate a world teetering on the brink of extinction. Among them, a disparate group of individuals emerged, each with their own story of loss, survival, and hope. Little did they know that their paths would converge in the fight for humanity's future, as they faced not only the undead hordes but also the darkest aspects of human nature. In the midst of despair, a glimmer of resilience flickered-a determination to defy the odds and reclaim what was lost. But as the sun set on civilization, casting long shadows over a world forever changed, the question remained: would they emerge victorious, or would they become just another footnote in the annals of history?
