Snotlout leaned back in his ridiculous heart-shaped beanbag chair-Hookfang perched dramatically on the windowsill behind him, sipping sunlight like he was born for it. The bearded dragon wore aviators. Snotlout had bought them for him on Amazon. He didn't regret it.
He cracked open another energy drink, eyes bloodshot and twitching from his fourth sleepless night.
Hookfang flicked his tail in solidarity.
"Dumbasses never stood a chance," Snotlout grinned.

Astrid Hofferson was awake too.
Stormfly, her jaguar, yawned from the foot of her bed, curled in a ball of majestic murder. Astrid's phone pinged and she groaned.
SNOTLOUT 🐉: Greece. 10 months. Flights booked. Pack sunscreen, a swimsuit, and your spicy attitude. No excuses. You need this..
She blinked. Her chest tightened.
ASTRID 🐆: Fine. But HE better not be there.
SNOTLOUT 🐉: ofc not. Would never do that to you. 😇
He was absolutely going to do that to her.

Hiccup Haddock was elbow-deep in Toothless' fur. The black panther rolled lazily onto his back, as Hiccup tried (and failed) to shave out a burr.
His phone buzzed.
SNOTLOUT 🐉: Bro. Trip. Greece. Vacation. You need it. I swear. Bring Toothless. Meet the gang. You'll thank me later.
HICCUP 🛠️🐆: Fine. Don't screw this up.
He was absolutely going to screw this up.

Or that's what they thought. 7 years later, Hiccup and Toothless along with Astrid and Stormfly crash land on berk and chaos ensues and probably the greatest threat they would ever have to face. As his only son, he is next in line for the chiefdom which wouldn't be a problem, if he wasn't a runt. Viking's believe that a name is what strikes fear into your enemies. Hiccup's obviously doesn't. The name is given to those who won't survive their first winter. Those who don't belong, those who will not be any more than a burden. Hiccup isn't an exception to this. I mean, sure he survived his first winter, and the next fifteen. But he caused problems, not on purpose. Things just happened when he was around. First when he was six, and a nearby furnace blew up when he lost his temper. Then when he was eight, nine, eleven. These strange happenings kept occurring, and nothing he did helped. Everything he did, everything he tried had some way of turning back on him. For the longest time he believe that the God's cursed him. On the island of Dumais, a baby was sent across the sea as her homeland was engulfed by war. A woman, rather a mother, traveled with the baby girl. The two sailed across stormy seas before landing on an island called Berk. This island is were the baby grew and found herself with mixed feelings for the dragon beast and for a certain boy, rather the Chiefs son.
