In reality - United States of America reappeared in a distant universe, in a planet called Arcano, a planet torn apart by a brutal civil war. To the many factions fighting for control, the arrival of the Americans was an event beyond comprehension. To the Americans themselves, it was the beginning of a struggle that would shape their destiny in an unfamiliar galaxy.

At some point in our forgotten past Earth was cut off from our intergalactic neighbors and decides to fend for herself. Later we lose ourselves to infighting and nationalism instead of being true to our nature of being a space dwelling, intergalactic human cooperative. Now our space cousins are reestablishing contact with Earth. Bringing their superpower enabled, technological mastery of science so advanced as to seem supernatural.
