Y/N and Drew Starkey are among the few still standing, months after the world collapsed into chaos. The cities are gone. The screams have faded. All that remains is survival - and each other.

Y/N grew up around science. Her father once worked deep inside a classified lab, a place that may now hold the only hope left for humanity: a cure. She remembers fragments - formulas, routines, protocols. Maybe, just maybe, she can finish what he started. But before she can even think about synthesizing a vaccine, they need safety. Supplies. People.

Y/N wants to find a community - a place with walls, order, and a future. But Drew doesn't believe in people anymore. Not after everything they've seen. He's protective, stubborn, and fiercely loyal to her, but trust? That's something he lost when the world died. She's the only one he still believes in.

So now they walk two different paths on the same broken road: one looking for hope, the other trying to protect it at all costs.
