"There were always four clans!" MoonPaw yowled. Cats turned in his direction, confused that he would dare interrupt the Gathering. "Yes, but times are..different now. We must divide." MoonPaw's mother FlashingStar, the leader of ThunderClan murmured. "You must leave in five sunrises. TumblingBoulder will lead the cats." The crowd erupted into conversation. "Not everyone will go," FlashingStar added. "Only those who wish to. Only those who believe my dream from StarClan is true. And whoever goes, I bid you farewell. May StarClan be with you!" FlashingStar and her clan returned to camp. MoonPaw raced to the apprentice den. "Are you going?" SilverPaw whispered. "It's a great opportunity. I'm gonna go. I'm sick of starving, of hiding. I'm sick of this place we call home. I need a fresh start." MoonPaw just turned away, pressed his back into hers. "I like this place we call home," he whispered to himself. "But maybe..." MoonPaw shook the thought away and fell into a fitful, troubled sleep.

Leopardwillow has always wanted an apprentice from the moment she was an apprentice herself to the moment she became a warrior... There was one exception however she would beg Starclan not to mentor the stubbornest, violentist, evil-seeming kit ever- Smokekit. Little does she know that just so happens to be Starclan's will not only will she need to mentor Smokekit, tensions rise higher and higher within Lakeclan and a war will be hard to avoid, and Foxbristle; Leopardwillow's sister is accused of Bearstar's murder. On top of that drama Leopardwillow still has to save her clan from whatever danger lies ahead-little does she know her stubborn apprentice might be the cause for all this chaos... Excerpt: Flamestar's one amber eye shone in the moonlight; the moon soon disappeared from within the clouds. "I did not fail Junipercloud." Leopardwillow spat, "you should know not to kill warriors during things so ridiculous as border skirmishes Starclan doesn't want us to kill each other." By now her fur stood on end but Flamestar looked terrifyingly calm. "I suppose, but the way I see it there should only be one clan not two. How ridiculous our ancestors decided it." Flamestar said with a curious tone. "I shall make this short before we depart young warrior - I'd watch my back from now on if I were you." the orange she-cat said thoughtfully. Timberheart leapt off the boulder "Is that a threat?!" he growled. Flamestar thought her words over "Maybe. Lakeclan to me!" she yowled before either of them had time to respond. A death sentence just waiting to happen Leopardwillow thought sadly. Dovesong was right; A war was on the verge of happening and not even Starclan could stop that. All Characters are my own ©
