{COMPLETED} "now that you've had your fun electrocuting me, would you care to hop in the backseat?" ---------------------------------------------------------- Freak DNA. That's what I like to call it. The fault to my genetic code. More often than not, it's a curse. The static running through my blood gave me a name. A cruel, daunting label of a measly bug. A roach. That's what I am to them, to the government. Roach; the nameless monster with electricity for a sense and lightening as a second nature. It ruined my life, the sparking currents playing tag in my mind, running around and bumping into everything, shaking me loose. The government, actually. They ruined my life. My curse just gave them a reason. You see, the normal population with ordinary DNA, they don't know about the people like me. The roaches of the world. We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise. Whispers of The Forgotten
I used to be normal. I was a 17 year old girl, with one more year left of high school. And everything used to be fine. But then they showed up. That's when my life got turned upside down. I started to lose my memory. But I also started to remember too. Loves of my past lives resurface as do my powers. And my Father shows up after 14 years, asking me to do unthinkable things. It's a risky life of mine now as I fight to keep a hold of my humanity, And as I fight to keep my life. "Don't you see now why we can't be together?" I whispered at the crazy boy in front of me. "Aren't you repulsed by me? Disgusted? Dis interested? Can't you just tear my heart out and leave like any other normal teenage boy?" My voice cracked. He simply shook his head. "Sweetheart, I thought I made it clear from the first time I said it," He paused, "I. Like. You." He emphasized every word, and I gaped at him. "Hell of a lot, actually, so it'd be great if you stopped being salty and liked me back." "Don't you get it?" I whispered unbelievingly, "After all that, and you still don't get why I can't be with you?" He seemed relaxed, calm. Too calm for this situation. "My life doesn't involve a guy like you, Nathan. Never did. You're not my knight in shinning armor, and you aren't going to save me. This is reality, the real world. And the real world doesn't have happy endings." ---- To me, there's are six different types of crying. One; The Breakdown. Two; The Longing. Three; The Hysterical. Four; The Broken. Five; The Happy. Pinky Promise
" How do you start a story? Maybe by simply saying 'Once upon a time...' or 'In a far off place 'Yea that's how most would but not me. In fact the story happened so fast it gives me whiplash thinking about how my first love became more than my best friend thru trauma. Our story really doesn't have a clear beginning,all I can say is we have known each other for a long time. It starts with us as babies, and no not just any babies but in the womb not yet born. Who would have guessed I would have to spend my life dreading the day I was born or should I say we, Before you jump to conclusions no we are not brothers just really close friends. Our moms have been best friends since Junior high,so of course we were destined to meet each other. But living together is another story. Our moms have always been close, when my dad died my mom had to raise such a hellion of a child alone which was too much for one mother to bare,which is how we met again. It had been 16 years,You would think he would remember me,but i guess the memories of me were buried so deep. Because of one unlucky night,everything changed." Little did I know my time with him would be the most chaotic time of my entire existence,how do you tell your childhood best friend who has no memory of you and your forever promise that you love him when he shuts out the entire world for unknown reasons. How do you stay by his side when he himself can't accept that two broken souls were always fated to meet.How do you fix yourself and love your better half when you can't keep shit together.
