(I can't believe I'm writing a fan fiction😭). Two years after the tragic events at Welton, Charlie Dalton is struggling to find his place in the world. Haunted by Neil's death and plagued by feelings of guilt and inadequacy, Charlie has become withdrawn and isolated. His grades are suffering, and his relationships with his family are strained. At his new boarding school, Charlie meets Maya, the bright and ambitious student council president who sees beyond his tough exterior. Maya is drawn to Charlie's intensity and passion, and she sets out to help him rediscover his love for life and learning. But Charlie is wary of Maya's motivations, viewing her as a people pleaser who puts everyone else's needs before her own. As they clash and grow closer, Charlie and Maya begin to confront their own demons and desires. Maya's drive for perfection is rooted in her desire for her father's approval, while Charlie's love for poetry and storytelling is a reminder of the freedom and creativity he once shared with Neil. As they navigate their feelings for each other, Charlie and Maya must confront the challenges that threaten to tear them apart. Can they help each other heal and find their true paths, or will the weight of their pasts and expectations tear them apart? This story explores the themes of grief, identity, and the power of human connection, set against the backdrop of an elite boarding school. It's a story about finding your voice, taking risks, and learning to love yourself and others.
