She was beautiful, but not in the way that made you stare.
She was the kind of beautiful that made you remember her when you were alone in the dark-long after the lights were out and the door was locked.
I kept the journal she left behind, bound in cracked leather and perfumed with lavender and decay. Its pages are riddled with riddles, inked in looping cursive that bleeds like veins across the paper. It starts with a confession. It ends with a warning.

This story is my own, which means I own the characters, plot, etc. However, I did get some inspiration from James Patterson's WOMEN'S MURDER CLUB, just with a slight twist ;)
