Order 66 never happens. Instead, during the war's final years, Anakin, Padmé, and the Jedi Council discover evidence of Palpatine's true identity and have him arrested for treason. The war ends through peace talks. Padmé becomes Supreme Chancellor, Anakin remains a Jedi but spends more time with his family, and the clones - now national heroes - are retired with full honors and pensions.
