Y/N was born in one of the poorest countries in the world. Orphaned at nine after her parents starved themselves just to keep her and her baby brother alive, she learned early that life was never fair. Bullied for being a girl and told she was weak, Y/N decided to change the game - cutting her hair short, deepening her voice, and living as a boy. Petite but unbelievably strong, she fought in underground matches to earn money, protecting her little brother from the same cruel world that took everything from them. Now sixteen, Y/N hears about the Hunter Exam - a chance to win a license that could give her the money, connections, and safety her brother needs. She enters the deadly challenge, hiding her gender and her past from everyone. There, she meets Gon, Killua, Kurapika, and Leorio - the only problem? None of them know she's a girl... and they're about to find out just how strong "he" really is.
