They sink to the floor against their best efforts, as though gravity has increased on them specifically, clutching themselves in pain. She's sure she makes some sort of groan as her vision blackens, and she's fairly certain half the books on the counter clatter down with her.

School's a total nightmare, and things at home with mom are a hot mess ever since dad passed away. Chatted with my sis 'bout this ongoing plot in the series, and it hit me - the show could've been way cooler if April and Donatello had a tighter connection, giving 'em both the character development they deserved. Karma's Heart is a slow burn, emotionally charged love story between two opposites who clash, combust, and slowly come undone in each other's orbit. But what they don't know, was that Jax did change. Maybe not on the outside. But deep, DEEP inside? Now that's a different story. Jax was no longer alone in his own head. 3 voices found themselves stuck in Jax's head. 3 voices. 3 personalities. 3 problems Jax can't escape. One voice was completely unhinged. A dramatic, unpredictable wannabe poet who talks as if every word was part of some bizarre performance. Another was a sleazy flirt who never shuts up. Every sentence was a shameless joke, or a jab at everything around him. But the last one... The last one was kind. Too kind. Jax hated this voice the most, because deep down he knew he didn't deserve it. He didn't deserve the kindness. These voices never shut up. They mock him. Chat with him. Comfort him. Worst of all, they have an ability to take control of Jax's body. Crumbling all of Jax's hard work in keeping up the whole act. So Jax laughs louder. Smirks harder. Acts more obnoxious because it's the only thing keeping him together. But the cracks are spreading. The voices are getting to him. And sooner or later... something's gonna give. The real question is... When that time comes, will Jax finally see the humanity in everyone around him? Be able to redeem himself? Or will he give up.. And abstract like all the others?

"It seems selfish, but I want to be the reason that you might smile one day," Their voice comes out even smoother with every word, as if meant to soothe your forked soul, divided into two parts inevitably soon to be put back together. In a second, their Roman nose slightly bumps against yours as they close the gap between the two of you, their lips pushing against yours so lightly, afraid to break your own. Your eyes remain wide while their own eyes shut, hands at your neck and pulling you closer so gently. Another second passes, they pull away as quickly as they went in, yet it felt like a minute had passed. Their presence stings fresh on your lips as you stand there, speechless, bringing your fingers up to run them across the flesh for a second. Robin, on the other hand, was sitting safely on a rock with a bag of chips, observing the chaos with a judgmental squint and zero intention of getting wet. "You going in?" Felix asked beside me, voice soft but teasing. He had his hoodie slung over one shoulder, his shirt lifted slightly where he was fidgeting with the hem. I looked at him, suspicious. "Are you?" He gave a one-shouldered shrug. "Only if you do." "Oh, so if I drown from hypothermia, you're cool going down with me?" "Basically," he said, and smiled-the real kind. The crooked, honest kind. The kind I was starting to crave without meaning to. And just like that, my stubborn pride made the decision for me. "Fine. But if I die, I'm haunting you first." ... She sat down on the floor. Knees drawn to her chest, hands pulling at her hair. She couldn't take it anymore. She ripped out a bunch of her hair and laughed at the pain it brought her. Nothing could be compared to the pain she already felt. She couldn't describe what she felt. Even after killing her tormentor the pain still wouldn't go away. The joy she felt when stabbing Alison was the ultimate feeling. She couldn't stop laughing, as she continued to stab Alison over and over again, but even that high cleared. She smiled as she remembered the memory. It was the best she'd have for a long time. She stood up and threw the ripped hair in the bin. Even though she still had those melancholy dark feelings in the depths of her, killing Alison had chipped away some of it. But no matter how bad felt, no matter how low she went, or how far broken she was, she'd still rise up. Somehow gravity didn't apply to her. And she wouldn't let it. *Elizabeth Lynnwood was the most normal teenager in the world until the universe suddenly decided to turn things around.
