I snapped back, "Because I was scared! I was scared of losing you when I had just got you." I take a step towards her, "I'm still scared of losing you." I confessed.
She just shook her head as a no, her hair sticking to her face, she took a step back. "I'm sorry. I can't do this again, not after what happened last time." Last time. She wasn't looking at me.
I took another step towards her, this time grabbing her shoulders, ignoring the deep ache in my chest, "Just give me a chance. What if I prove you wrong?"
