Of course he had his prejudices against the children of the moon after they killed his wife. He never hoped to find his mate, so he never looked that is until she was standing in his throne room. The two had it rough, their duty and responsibility to the throne and their families outweighed their need to run away from it all. Their obligations lied with eachother, they were a dangerous pair together but apart they were almost worse. Caius never knew pain that came with the enigma of the mate bond until he met Rowen.
