Meet Tansy. 24 years old. Full-time corporate slave. Part-time stress baldie. Her hobbies include crying in office bathroom stalls and living in an ancient kingdom through a mobile game where she's basically a god.
In her digital empire, she's spent years building the glorious Shi family from a dirt-poor concubine's son into a golden-bathed legacy. With her peak character, the illustrious Grand Chancellor Shi, she amassed riches and power. When Grandpa Shi passed away, Tansy started a new life as his granddaughter, inheriting the family's vast fortune and legacy. She became a Doctor with a strong career and a tragic uterus.
Seriously, ten years of in-game marriage and not even one pixelated baby. Not. One.
Then she died childless, her husband took over everything, and Tansy was forced to start over from scratch-broke and bitter. In a fit of righteous fury, she cursed the game devs, uninstalled the app, and dramatically returned to her spreadsheet hell...for exactly a week.
Then, weakness struck. She reinstalled the game. Only to find everything wiped. Achievements. Saves. Legacy. All gone.
So naturally, she did what any sane adult would do: download a MOD version, complete with cheats, free in-app purchases, and currency to make a dev cry.
Tansy: "What gold? I tip my servants that like silver."
She was living the dream-until a mysterious pop-up appeared:
"You opened a secret door. Would you like to step inside?"
"Absolutely!"
But then the game froze.
Next her phone froze.
And, that night, Tansy's dream also froze.
Now she's wandering in a creepy hallway in her sleep, answering prompts from a cheerful child's voice, and staring at a glowing red sign that reads: "GHOST CITY."
Armed with her gamer rage, latest tea addiction, and deeply questionable decision-making skills, Tansy must outsmart the cursed system, battle the spirits of her own power-hungry past and maybe, just maybe, grow a conscience.
Or at least figure out how to save and exit.
