ward (w•oar•d) transitive verb. to keep watch over : guard ﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏ Jackson Ward is next in line to take over as Alpha for his pack, the Sylvan Ash Pack. He has a reputation for being strong, iron-willed, and intimidating. He is an only child who lives under the thumb of his oppressive, overbearing, and closed-minded father, Cyrus Ward. He is constantly being forcefully molded into his father's idea of the perfect Alpha for their pack. Deep down, Jackson longs for the day that he will meet his mate. He will rule over his pack freely with his perfect Luna by his side. He will love, cherish, and protect them as long as he has breath in his lungs. No one will harm them as long as he is their mate. Or so he thought. Benjamin Stirling is a small, shy, and quiet omega. He has lived in the orphanage since the gruesome death of his parents, when he was 5 years old. 13 years later, he regularly dreams of finding his mate. The one who will rescue him, protect him, and quiet his anxious thoughts. But it is just that; a dream. Benjamin knows he will be rejected as soon as his mate finds him. Who would want a frail, useless, omega as a mate? Right? Right? What will happen when Jackson and Benjamin cross paths? Will their all too rare same sex relationship be accepted? What happens when the cruel, powerful Alpha Cyrus Ward finds out his son is not only secretly mated, but mated to a male omega? Follow Jackson and Benjamin as they experience heartache, unspeakable joy, tragedy, and unexpected surprises. It won't be easy. But Jackson Ward will be damned if he lets anyone get between him and his mate. This story is mature. Please do not read if you are under 18.
