Every child is a bundle of joy - brimming with excitement, fun, and curiosity. Kalani was all that and more. She was the kind of child people fondly called "hyper," the one whose laughter could fill a room. But no one could have imagined how quickly that spark would dim.

After losing her parents, the light in her began to fade. With no real family to turn to, she slowly blended into the background, her once-vivid presence now muted. Each morning she woke not to live, but merely to survive - all because of Him.

She wanted more-more than what she had, more than what made sense. Not because her life was a total mess (okay, maybe a little), but because something about it just didn't click. She had the basics: family, friends, a decent life on paper. But sometimes even a full plate feels empty-especially when the people you care about are the ones who unintentionally (or very intentionally) make you feel small. Still, she pushed through. She smiled a little too wide, laughed a little too loud, and pretended everything was fine. Spoiler alert: it wasn't. So, she made a switch. A big one. A risky one. Did she think it would change anything? Absolutely not. But somehow... it did. And maybe, just maybe, that was exactly what she needed. ............................................................... To the outside world, McKenzie is the life of the party-bright, bubbly, and always ready with a laugh. But if you asked her, she'd probably describe herself as a walking disaster with a talent for tripping over absolutely nothing. Then there's Josephine. Everyone sees a brainy, no-nonsense, slightly intimidating genius. McKenzie? She sees the sweetest, most hard-working best friend ever- A literal angel in human form (who just happens to be four months older, not that McKenzie ever lets her forget it). McKenzie adores her. Always has. That is, until her mom decided Josephine was the blueprint for the "perfect daughter." Cue the comparison Olympics: "Why is your room a mess? Be more like Josephine." "Your grades? Look at Josephine's!" "Can't you try to be more like Josephine for once, McKenzie?!" So... McKenzie tried. With a little switch of her own. How hard could it be to be someone else, right? (Right?)

"Why does it have to be 'he' and why can't it be 'she'?" She asks with so much anger. "What?" We all look at her confused while Oliver just rolls his eyes at her. She scowls and says," The owner of this ALS company. Why can't it be a female?" Feminist much? But she looks very offended like we are talking about her. My eyes go wide in realization. It can be true. Like the way she was giving orders over the phone that day, confidence and arrogance that she carries, her intimidating aura that demands respect and power, the way she ruthlessly took revenge on Lockwood and scared off that waitress, the way she got offended with my statement and ALS is probably her name's initials. These all scream only one thing. SHE IS THE OWNER OF THE ALS GROUP OF COMPANIES,SHE IS THE MYSTERIOUS BILLIONAIRE THAT HAS BEEN TALK OF THE TOWN AND SHE IS THE OWNER OF THIS CLUB AND MANY OTHER PROPERTIES. I look at her with wide eyes and then I give her a devilish smirk. Now it's her time to get confused.I took my phone out to text her. "I know you are the owner of The ALS Group of companies" I leave her no room to deny.I see a fear in her eyes for a quick second before she masks it with her usual blank and cold look. "You are not going to tell anyone" She replies and glares at me like she will kill me right here right now. Sure she is very intimidating person but I am also 'The Damian King'.No one can scare me except my mom.
