Cain, history's First Murderer, has been festering in Hell for eons; cursed by God, loathed by Death, and tormented by the memory of Abel's blood on his hands. He's a bitter recluse with trust issues, rage problems, and a raccoon that bites first and asks questions never. So when Lilith, Lucifer's cunning queen, offers him a deal, help her steal Hell's empty throne in exchange for one final conversation with his brother, Cain does the unthinkable: he says yes. Now he's neck-deep in infernal politics, assembling a crew of the damned, and dodging divine retaliation from Heaven. Death wants him gone. Heaven wants him quiet. And Cain? He just wants to make amends... preferably without crying, murdering anyone, or getting rabies from his raccoon. He might even figure out how to trust again... assuming his new teammates don't literally stab him in the back. (Cover by Solic_1 on Twitter)

Sometimes, it's not always better to be safe than sorry... Mercy Falle thought she was safe; she had a something-more-than-friends relationship with local heartthrob Cain Esser, a foster family who protected her. No, her life wasn't perfect, but she could cope. Of course, that's before two men come along and try to kill her. With everybody believing that Cain was responsible for the attack, Mercy is relocated to begin again somewhere new. But danger still follows her wherever she goes, and the only person who claims he can protect her is the one person she should be running from.
