shadow the hedgehog x reader : Blood in the Water

Y/N is a new transfer agent from S.H.I.E.L.D., reassigned to G.U.N. after years of working solo. Her record was nearly spotless-until the day she lost control. In a moment of desperation, she used a forbidden form of water manipulation: controlling the blood in someone else's body, bending it to her will. It was a line that should never have been crossed.

Given one last chance to redeem herself, Y/N is sent to G.U.N. and assigned a partner-a shock in itself. An even bigger shock? Her partner is the base's top operative: Shadow the Hedgehog.

Thrown into a tightly knit, high-pressure system, Y/N must learn to trust, adapt, and master her powers before they consume her. But as missions grow riskier and tensions rise, one question looms: will she forge a bond with Shadow and keep her promise never to cross the line again... or will the lure of chaos pull her back into the darkness, leaving everyone running for their lives?

This story draws inspiration from 'love like war' by @maispam, the ATLA/LOK franchise and the Zodiac Academy book series. I don't own anything im just having fun. we need more shadow x oc/reader fanfics.

also I imply Y/N as human but if that irks you be creative and make Y/N a hedgehog. I don't really go into the human anatomy in this story lol so it should be easy enough to use your wild imagination :)
